Head Varsity Basketball Coach Ashlee Curtis said that she found athlete Mallory Whitten inspiring because of Whitten’s ability to learn from her failures. Whitten is able to rise above her mistakes and stand up to try harder. Whitten, the homecoming queen at EHS, said that go into sports because of her parents. Her dad played baseball, football, and golf while her mom did cheerleading and gymnastics. After high school, Whitten wants to earn a nursing degree and become an RN. “My inspiration is my little sisters. They don’t know it, but they push me to be better because I know they are watching me,” Whitten said. She said her dream college is somewhere abroad or in the mountains because she loves learning and traveling.
