Wildcats and Lady Cats Assemble

El Dorado Wildcats and Lady Cats basketball will be hosting the Purple and White Game with tip-off Thursday at 5 p.m.

Head coaches have announced the rosters for the game. Junior Joderrio Ramey will lead the Purple team and Junior Brenden Johnson will lead the White.

Joining Ramey on the Purple team are Ericken Johnson, Khalil Shelton, Nicholas Jorden and Jordan Tubbs. With Johnson on the White team are Brendan Simmons, Tyler Everette, Jamalzia Thompson and Mason Lockhart.

The game is an annual event for the Wildcats, giving fans their first opportunity to see the 2017-2018 Wildcats and Lady Cats basketball teams.

Destinee Rogers, Lady Cats head coach, explained the team’s growth and her and the team’s expectations for this year. “The team is growing up together and working extremely hard. Everyone is positive and has the same goal and that is to win a lot of games. I’m excited to start the season with this team,” she said.  

The scrimmage will start off with the 7th grade Lady Kittens and will conclude with the Varsity Wildcats.

The concession stand will be staying open for the duration of the scrimmage. While watching the Cats on the court, fans interested in Blacklight Pep Rally tickets will be able to purchase them from any cheerleader or varsity player at the game. The Blacklight Pep Rally will be held on Sunday in Wildcat Arena at 6:30 p.m.
