Spotlight on: Kanesha Evans

Kaylee Stafford, EHS Hi-Gusher Staff

Kanesha Evans, EHS college and career coach, has returned to help students figure out what they want to do after high school.

Evans graduated from EHS in 2012 and attended college at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia and is now the College and Career coach at EHS.

College and Career coaches help you register for the ACT. They manage over the Concurrent credit classes that EHS offers. They do anything that has to do with college.

“The ultimate goal is to help get a plan for after highschool,” Evans said.

Kids are able to come back even after they graduate. If a student decides to not go their planned path after high school it won’t hurt them, but it is more on the career coaches and on themselves.

A lot of the College and Career coaches operate via Google Classroom, to get those codes you can contact Kanesha Evans via email for the codes. She is available from 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.

“I get 5 or so kids per week,” Evans said.

The concurrent credit classes are through the community college.
