Tickets will go on sale Nov. 27 in the Wildcat Cafe for the Winter Ball to be held on Saturday, Dec. 9.
This ball will take place from 7-11 p.m. in the EHS commons and plus ones are allowed, but you will need to pick up a form from the office to do so.
The attire for this includes formal attire such as dress pants, tie and shirt, and/or jacket or tuxedo for guys. For girls, the dress attire consists of preferably no jeans or denim as well as dresses that are long enough to reach your fingertips. Mrs. Philips, the lead person to contact explains how this winter ball is a semi- formal dance hosted by all EHS classes and is funded through ticket sales with the money raised divided after costs to each grade level. As this Winter Ball will be the first one hosted since 2020, students planning to attend and teachers chaperoning the event say they are looking forward to it.
Jaden Owens says her expectations, how she’s excited to make new memories, and what she’s most excited for.
“Honestly, Mrs. Philips always does a great job!! Such as decorations and picking the right things to be where! I expect the semi-formals to be nothing but fun!”
“I’m very excited!! It’s my senior year and any memory at this school that I can get I want!!”
“Seeing everyone come out of their shell when their song comes on and seeing a different side of them!!”
Mrs. Lowe says her expectations for the semi-formal and her opinion on if she’d prefer a Winter ball or a Spring fling.
“My expectations are that students can get dressed up and gather for an elegant night of dancing and fun.”
“I like the idea of a Winter ball. The Spring fling was nice but it was close to Prom. I also like the theme of having a winter time dance.”
Mrs. Craig also says her expectations for the dance and if she’d prefer a Winter ball or a Spring fling.
“My expectations are all of the students having a fun time dancing and visiting with each other as well as dressing and behaving appropriately for the occasion. Since this is the first Winter Ball that I have chaperoned, I am not completely sure whether I prefer a Winter Ball or a Spring Fling. I would personally love for EHS to host a Halloween Monster Ball next year because the Halloween dance was always my favorite when I was in high school “
