Morning announcements

 

Any senior member of NHS wishing to be an officer for the 18-19 school year needs to come see Mrs. Mobbs for a petition. The offices are for president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. Petitions need to be filled out and turned back in to Mrs. Mobbs by 3:15 on August 23rd. 

 

The first NHS meeting of the year will be Thursday, August 30th at 7:30 in room 1407. Between now and that meeting, come by and pay your $15 dues for the 18-19 school year and pick up service hours sheets if you need any. Dues need to be paid by the day of the meeting.

 

Attention all animal and nature lovers! There is a club for you! It is called Save the Animals and we do amazing things like organize fundraisers for ucaps, play with puppies, go on group hikes, and save the world! Come to our interest meeting THIS Friday morning at 7:20 in room 2429 to join us!

 

“I’m so glad I decided to apply for the Boston Trip” Thats you saying that, this March while you’re tossing tea into the harbour and running around Harvard and Boston College like you own the place! To make sure this happens, come to one of our interest meeting! Come before school Tuesday or after school Thursday by yourself, or with your parents or guardian Wednesday at 5:30. All in room 2429! See you then!

 

Current Beta members, do not forget to see Mrs. Steele for information. Contracts and tshirts/dues need to be paid by September 14th. Those who are interested in joining Beta need to check the list of qualifying students outside Mrs. Steele’s room in 1524. Applications can be picked up this week and are due by Tuesday, August 28th to Mrs. Steele.

 

There will be a Junior Steering Committee meeting this Wednesday in Ms. Lowe’s room #2526 @ 7:30 am

Come join Union County’s premier drug and alcohol prevention progam for youth and families. We are taking eXtreme measures to get eXtreme results and we want you! Through community service, community outreach, drug-free activites,drug education, and social-emotional awareness, we are leading the pack in building a safer and healthier community. If you are interested in joining eXtreme Youth Programs come pick up an application in Room 1612. Deadline to join is September 7.

 

Do you want to get involved in your community and learn more about politics? How about getting special opportunities to talk to your representatives and local leaders? Stop by room 2412 Wednesday, Sept.5th at 7:30am for the first meeting this year of Teenage Republicans. Be there or be blue!

 

Attention current and future EHS chess team members. There will be an informational and sign-up meeting for the Wildcat Chess team tomorrow morning in Mr. Meyer’s room, Room 2423 on the English hallway. If you are unable to attend, just contact Mr. Meyer or a current chess club member at your convenience. Hope to see you there.

 

Come get your membership forms and fundraising packets. Everything is due September 4. See a Business Teacher in the CTE hallway for more information.

 

Teachers please release the Fire Marshals and Safety Patrol Girls @ 9:35 tomorrow to prepare for our monthly fire drill. The drill will take place at the beginning of 3rd period.

 

Key Club will have its first meeting of the year Tuesday, August 28 at 7:30 AM in Mr. B’s room, 1413. All returning members are asked to attend as well as any students who are interested in joining the Key Club this year. Hope to see you all there!
